The Sean Tanner Chronicles: Back To Base.

November 10, 2020 at 11:25 pm, No comments

Volgier drove Sean Tanner back to his base but warned him that he was likely to cause a stir, as he was meant to be dead.
As soon as they both walked in, Sean spotted Brandy Taylor sitting at a desk. She was sipping a hot drink which she nearly spilt over herself.
Volgier introduced her as Bridey Tyler. “I take it you know Bridey?”
“Yes, but on my Earth, she’s called Brandy Taylor.”
Bridey and the rest of the base had already heard the tall tales of the return of Sean Tanner, but she didn’t believe a word of it. She put her drink down, got up, and slapped Sean across the face. “You coward, how could you leave it so long before showing your face?”
“I’m sorry, I’ve no idea what you’re talking about.” Sean looked to Volgier.
“I should have told you. Alexander Farnnel died alongside our Sean Tanner. They were on a mission together.”
“I see,” said Sean. Alexander Farnnel was obviously his friend Alex Farrington, and although Sean had not known this version of Alex, his heart lunged when he was told of his death.

Notes: Sean Tanner is asked to work with Bridey Tyler. She finds it difficult at first, as it is bringing memories of Alexander to the fore. She is cold and snappy with Sean, to begin with, but soon remembers what it was like working with her friend.

The duo are given the assignment to look into the disappearance of young men and women who lived close to the domed city. Could the Goblins be snatching people from London and taking them into The Bubble?
